FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If you need to reschedule your Gin Making Experience or Gin Tour we require a minimum of 7 days notice prior to your booked date. For groups of 6+ we require 14 days notice prior to your booked date.
If you wish to reschedule within 7 days of your booking, you will be liable for 100% of the total cost of your booking and we unfortunately will not be able to issue a refund or reschedule. We are however, happy for you to gift your ticket/s to a friend or family member to use on your behalf.
However, if you wish to reschedule due to being positive for COVID-19, we require proof of a positive PCR test any day before your arrival.

RIGHT TO CANCEL
We reserve the right to move or cancel a gin experience if minimum numbers are not met.
You can purchase gift vouchers for our Gin Tour and Gin Making Experience here. All gift vouchers are valid for 12 months. All gift vouchers are non-transferable and non-refundable.
EXPIRED GIFT VOUCHERS
All gift vouchers purchased before we opened on 4th September 2021 have been extended until 30th September 2022.
Our tours start promptly so we suggest that you arrive 5 minutes before your gin tour/gin making experience time.
In the event that you are delayed, we will do our utmost to accommodate you however, you may miss a portion of the tour/gin making
WHAT TO WEAR
We suggest sensible/comfortable footwear as this is a working distillery in the cellars of the castle. With this in mind we also suggest layered clothing as it can be cool in the walkway but warm in the botanical room and gin school.
PRIVATE AND GROUP BOOKINGS
To enquire about a private or group booking visit our group experience page and fill in the enquiry form. A member of our team will get back to you with a bespoke quote.
Children over 12 years old are welcome on our gin tours at Hensol Castle Distillery when accompanied by an adult. Children will be offered a soft drink on arrival and in the bar after the tour.
Once you have finished your experience and enjoyed your complimentary G&T, you can purchase an additional drink at our gin bar.
VISITORS WHO AREN’T DRINKING
All non-drinkers will receive a goody bag to take home that includes a takeaway gin and tonic.
The gift shop is located in our gin bar which you will visit at the end of your experience. The shop is stocked with all spirits made at the distillery as well as branded barware items. You can also purchase spirits at the distillery reception desk.
We are located on the same estate as the Vale Resort, a luxurious 4* hotel that offers gin breaks
We currently don’t offer any food at the distillery. However, we are located on the same estate as the Vale Resort which offers food and drink in their bar.
We have a car park with 250 spaces including 4 disabled parking spaces. The car park is located on-site at the distillery and is a short walk to the distillery reception.
We also have parking for coaches and a coach drop-off bay outside the entrance of the distillery.
