Production Operative

To be a member of the fantastic Hensol Castle Distillery producing and bottling spirits for our own brands and on behalf of others. You will be a key member of a multi-disciplined team to operate a high performing production line with full ownership and accountability for product quality and line performance.

Main duties and job objectives:
• Producing and bottling quality liquors for sale to trade and the public
• Responsible for quality standards including visual inspections
• To be Brand Ambassador
• Check and inspect goods in and goods out
• Ensure correct storage
• To understand and adhere to health and safety, food safety and licensing laws and requirements

37.5 hours between 7am and 7pm currently Monday – Friday but may change as we get busier

Tour Guide

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Tour Guide to join our team and tell the story of our gin to our visitors. 

Main Duties and Objectives: 

  • Welcoming guests to the distillery 
  • Conducting gin tastings and tours
  • Working in our shop selling a range of our spirits and products
  • Working closely with our Distiller to keep up to date with new products and recipies
  • General duties as required

Personal Qualities: 

As you will be the face of the distillery, a welcoming manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Whilst previous experience of the spirits industry would be preferred, it is not essential as the ability to tell our story in an interesting and informative way.This role would therefore suit individuals from customer facing backgrounds or with some theatrical experience, A conversationalist knowledge of Welsh preferable.

Brand Development Manager

Associated job titles: Brand Ambassador, Sales manager

Department: Sales and Marketing

Aim of role:

To be a member of the fantastic Hensol Castle Distillery developing, growing and managing sales  .

Main duties and job objectives:

  • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle, planning and execution with customers through direct account management and our distributors.
  • Assume commercial responsibility for all customers in their territory and will be focused on developing current accounts & winning new business on behalf of HCD to grow profitable sales volume.
  • Identify & actively exploit new business opportunities in terms of, new customers, new listings and new routes to market.
  • Work with distributors to develop & implement market strategies & business plans to deliver regional goals.

Person Specification

 

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Business (ideally).
  • WSET or similar wine education (ideally).

English Speaking, but helpful to be have an understanding of Welsh

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in FMCG preferably in the wine / drinks industry or 2/3 years On Trade. Ideally to have a proven track record in sales and distributor management.
  • Local market knowledge including retail & on-trade would be advantageous.

Hours as required

Salary £21,500-£25,000 + up to 15% bonus + car allowance
